Please note:
For attaching, connecting or shortening these chains, we recommend using two flat nose pliers. This allows you to carefully open and close the individual chain links. To shorten a chain, simply open and remove the desired number of links – cutting is normally not necessary.

Alternatively, the chains can be shortened using side cutters. As they are made of hard and durable iron, you will need suitable side cutters designed for hard materials, such as those available at hardware stores. Our side cutters are precision jewelry tools and are not suitable for cutting hard iron or stainless steel.
